The Mobile CPR Project Philadelphia is:
- Community based
- Focused on teaching CPR to the Philadelphia community
- Committed to educating those who would otherwise not have access to affordable CPR training
Schedule a training! Call us at 267-606-2184 or email us at themobilecprproject@gmail.com.
Our free and non-certification CPR classes have 2 different formats:
- The first is a tabling-style event. This is for bystanders at any community fair, block party, farmer’s market, or similar event. The Mobile CPR staff set up a table with educational materials, giveaways, and a CPR manikin. We briefly teach how to recognize a cardiac arrest & when/how to give CPR. Participants will have the chance to practice CPR on the manikin.
- The second is a structured group lesson. This is for any community organization that pre-registers for a class. It lasts about 40-60min. The Mobile CPR staff will teach by lectures, Q&A, videos, and interactive practice. We cover how to recognize & respond to a cardiac arrest, how to perform effective hands-only CPR (no more mouth-to-mouth!), and how to use an AED. Participants will have the chance to practice CPR on a manikin to see just how well you are doing, and will be able to practice putting using an AED. We address common fears & misconceptions of CPR/AED to grow confident in our lifesaving skills together.
