Book Bank sets MLK Day event
Philadelphia READS Book Bank is seeking volunteers for a special event on Martin Luther King Day of Service on January 20th.
The event includes activities such as sorting books for classroom libraries to reading to record children’s books for preschoolers. It will be held at Martin Luther King High School, 6100 Stenton Avenue in Philadelphia.
The Book Bank helps build children’s literacy skills by providing 350 books per year to teachers for their classroom libraries.
