The following position is open within DPD: Minority/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Specialist 1
This is affirmative action contract compliance work of limited scope and difficulty reviewing bids, contracts and compliance plans and participating in the certification of minority/disadvantaged business firms. Employees in this class are expected to demonstrate continued development in these areas so that assignments may increase in scope and complexity until they approach the full performance level. The employee is responsible for reviewing minority/disadvantaged, disabled and female owned and controlled business enterprise applications for certification, reviewing financial and other business records and monitoring contracts for compliance with federal, state, and local affirmative action guidelines and regulations. Contact with representatives of various firms, City departments and agencies is a significant aspect of the work. Work is performed under the supervision of a technical superior and may involve rotating assignments between units.
