Minority Business Plan Competition

The Enterprise Center formally announced a call for submissions to the Fourth Annual Minority Business Plan Competition. The purpose of the competition is to accelerate the formation of Minority Business Enterprises and to provide tools and support to increase the success rate of minority-owned businesses in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties. Three winners will each be awarded a $20,000 non-repayable grant to fund their business.
To be eligible, entrants must be recognized as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) as defined by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, be in business three years or less with less than $250,000 in annual revenue in any given year, and be located in or willing to locate to one of the five counties mentioned above. Information sessions for The Fourth Annual Minority Business Plan Competition will be held at The Enterprise Center on January 15 & 22, 2003 from 6- 7 PM. The registration and submission process for this year’s competition will be done online. Online registration and submission will begin on January 22, 2003.
