Millipore Foundation

The Millipore Foundation provides grants to organizations in Millpore communities. The Foundation supports numerous educational institutions and programs, with an emphasis on primary and secondary education (grades K through 12). They also fund institutions and other organizations engaged in research and training?primarily in the life sciences and biotechnology fields. In fiscal year 2004, the Foundation awarded 48 grants, totaling $385,106 (41% of their cash grants budget), for education and research programs. Specific areas of interest in the field of education include afterschool/enrichment programs, business education; colleges & universities; education associations; education reform; elementary education; engineering and technology, leadership training, literacy; medical education; minority education; preschool education; private education, public education, religious education, science/mathematics, secondary education, student aid and vocational/technical.
