Writing Internship
Mighty Writers values its interns and opens doors into the worlds of education, arts, and nonprofit administration. This unpaid internship offers college students, recent graduates, writers, and interested others the chance to participate in the start-up of a new Philadelphia nonprofit organization that has children’s writing at our center. To this end, responsibilities will include:
–assisting students with their homework and writing projects
–developing newsletter content
–serving as substitute TAs for writing workshops when needed
–assisting with clerical and administrative work, learning new computer applications as necessary
–attending literary and community events as a representative of the organization
–leading projects related to publication
–leading presentations
We welcome resumes and CVs from anyone with 15 to 30 hours to contribute per week. We are happy to work with universities or departments to facilitate internship credit. A great attitude is a must! We also value working well with others, accepting constructive criticism, and thinking outside of the box.
