What do Frida Kahlo, Sonia Sotomayor and Celia Cruz all have in common? They’re all awesome Latina ladies of history! In this workshop, students will learn about a Latina lady a week to know more about the contributions of Latina women to history as well as be acquainted with new possible role models. Towards the end of the sessions, students will pick a favorite Latina lady of history and make a cool poster to showcase her biography and her accomplishments.

¿Qué tienen en común Frida Kahlo, Sonia Sotomayor, y Celia Cruz? ¡Todas son asombrosas señoras Latinas de la historia! En este taller, los estudiantes aprenderán sobre una señora Latina cada semana para saber más sobre las contribuciones de las señoras Latinas a la historia, y para conocer a posibles modelos a seguir. Hacia el final de las sesiones, los estudiantes escogerán una señora Latina de
la historia y harán una exhibición para mostrar su biografía y sus logros.
