The Midwest Consortium for Service-Learning in Higher Education
is pleased to announce that on-line registration for its fifth annual conference is now open.
Dates: September 25-26, 2008
Location: Brookings, South Dakota
This year’s conference theme is “Advancing Collaboration” and features keynote speakers
Andrew Furco,
Associate Vice President for Public Engagement at the University of Minnesota, and one of the foremost scholars and speakers in the area of assessment and institutionalization of service-learning
and
Michelle Dunlap,
Associate Professor of Human Development and Chair of the Human Development Department at Connecticut College in New London, who specializes in improving college student coping and skills in community service-learning settings; social and personality development; contemporary family issues (e.g., single-parent families, kinship-care families) and multicultural issues and methods for increasing service provider cultural competency.
