Merchants of Doubt Film Screening
Event to be held at the following time, date, and location:
Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
La Salle University
1900 West Olney Avenue
Olney Hall, Room 100
Philadelphia, PA 19141
The Philadelphia Regional Noyce Partnership hosts this film screening and discussion geared towards Secondary STEM teachers. The screening will be followed by a review of the Study Guide that accompanies the video and a discussion about media literacy. This topic is critical in a time when the veracity of science is being questioned and the facts can be confused with “alternative facts.” Join us in understanding how “spin” can create confusion and jeapordize the health of people and the planet. This event is open to secondary teachers, pre-service teachers and those involved in the STEM education community.
Popcorn, snacks!
Parking is available in Lot D. See interactive map: http://www.lasalle.edu/campusmap/map.html
We hope you can make it!
