United Communities seeks volunteer mentors
United Communities Southeast Philadelphia is in need of volunteers to be individual or group mentors to youth ages 14-18 years in its Intensive Prevention Services program.
The IPS program assists at-risk youth in developing both socially and academically through intensive comprehensive programming. The goal is to prevent youth from entering or re-entering the Child Welfare and Delinquency system.
Interested volunteers must have a high school education (some college preferred), be at least 20 years old, be able to commit to at least 6 months service, be able to resolve conflict, be sincere and compassionate, and have a passion for working with youth.
