mentors needed, Hoop Heroes
Posted by After-School All-Stars on April 17, 2017
Hoop Heroes is After-School All-Stars (ASAS) signature basketball and mentorship camp. Hoop Heroes offers co-ed basketball-based leadership and mentorship to our ASAS participants. During Hoop Heroes, mentors will use basketball as a common ground to help educate middle school youth about high school, college, and career opportunities. Through the use of basketball drills, full court games, classroom activities, and speakers from a wide range of professions, Hoop Heroes strives to build relationships among mentors and students and teach students about topics such as vision, respect, discipline, teamwork and preparation.
***This is a volunteer opportunity. No basketball experience is required to be a mentor—just a willingness to participate in drills and games with students.
