Mentor a Middle School Student in Southwest Philly
Cornerstone Christian Academy in Southwest Philadelphia looking for mentors for our middle school mentoring program! Middle School Mentors join 7th & 8th grade students for lunch twice a month at school. This is a one-on-one, school-based program that focuses on building a caring, consistent, and respectful relationship with a student. Mentors must have a sincere desire to be involved with a student to help him or her achieve personal and academic goals. Mentors must also have the ability to communicate with 11-14 year olds openly and non-judgmentally, with equality of responsibility and respect. Time commitment is a minimum of 2 visits per month, with a mandatory orientation, and ongoing training. Sign up now to become a new mentor in the Fall of 2013.
