Trainings Assist Programs That Mentor Children of Prisoners
The Amachi Training Institute helps organizations in the startup phases of a mentoring program learn from Amachi’s experience with hands-on training. Amachi began its mentoring program for children of prisoners in September 2000 in Philadelphia. It has since grown nationally and been lauded for its successful model in matching children of prisoners with people of faith in ongoing mentoring relationships. Currently, AmeriCorps*VISTA members are assigned to 17 Amachi programs across the country. The next institute with available spaces will be in September. Click here for more information.
