Montco agency hosts mental health symposium
Montgomery County Emergency Services is celebrating 35 years of service and will mark this milestone by hosting a one-day symposium for consumers, providers, families, advocates and others interested in mental health services on Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
The symposium will feature a series of conversations about crisis intervention and emergency diversion; involuntary psychiatric evaluation process; acute psychiatric inpatient care; alternatives to hospitalization; and outreach and mobile crisis services.
The symposium will be held from 9am-4pm, Wednesday, October 7, in the MCES conference room at 50 Beech Drive in Norristown. Breakfast and lunch will be served and there is no charge to attend.
