Mental illnesses and substance use challenges often present during adolescence and young adulthood, when many individuals are students at colleges and universities. College and university faculty, campus staff, families, fellow students, and other leaders who work with young adults can learn how to help each other in crisis situations. Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to help someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis until appropriate support arrives.
Participants who successfully complete the course receive a 3 year national certification.
