Job Title: SBN Membership Manager Reports to: Executive Director Term: Full-time, Permanent

Description: The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN) is a membership organization building a just and sustainable economy in the Philadelphia region by connecting, supporting and promoting locally-owned, independent businesses.

SBN’s Membership Manager is responsible for coordinating communications, customer service, and meeting facilitation to ensure that current members are aware of and satisfied with their membership and that new members have a smooth transition and successful introduction to the SBN community. Additionally, the Membership Manager will work with SBN’s Executive Director to increase the retention rate of current members, recruit new members, and develop SBN’s ongoing programs and services.

This position requires a highly-organized team member with superior communications skills, including written, verbal, and presentation communications. Member Services is rewarding work for someone with enthusiasm, drive, and creativity. SBN’s Membership Manager will be provided assistance with administrative and communication activities by paid staff and interns.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in customer service working with entrepreneurs or small businesses. • Superior communications skills, including written, verbal, and presentation. • Superior computer skills, including electronic communications and Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience maintaining CRM, ideally Salesforce. • Self-motivated; able to work independently and balance multiple tasks. • Excels in a fast-paced, open office environment. • Works well in a team. • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to embrace change. • Demonstrated commitment to SBN’s values and mission. • Experience working with diverse communities. • Bachelor’s degree.
