The 2010 Hunger Conference will bring together leaders in education, food center representatives and various non-profit agencies in the community to strengthen the food security network. The Conference’s objectives are to recognize hunger needs and barriers to accessing food resources in Delaware County, develop a plan that encourages a stronger food assistance network and form partnerships to encourage greater involvement in networks addressing hunger needs. The Conference will feature expert guest speakers and representatives of agencies providing food and housing resources who will provide information and will be available to answer questions via panel discussions. A video prepared for the conference will interview food cupboard participants to provide a voice to those in need of food.
The Conference has been approved for 6 hours of continuing education credit by: State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Professional Counselors, State Board of Nursing (pending) and The American Dietetic Association (pending).
