Philadelphia School Television (PSTV) is looking to hire a Meeting Team Lead to assist with our School Board Meetings. We are seeking an individual with cablecast experience as well as great communication and strong technical troubleshooting skills. This is not a Production job where you will be directing or producing. This is purely technical and you must have knowledge and experience using a production switcher, demonstrated troubleshooting skills and NDI/ IP protocol knowledge.
PSTV is dedicated to providing youth equal access to multimedia tools, digital and media literacy training, and industry experience. PSTV is the education channel for The School District of Philadelphia (SDP), and is open to ALL enrolled students who have a current school-issued ID, including public, charter, private and parochial schools. PSTV broadcasts youth-driven programming created by and for students that benefit them and their communities, 24 hours a day. In our industry-standard state-of-the-art production studio we provide multimedia tools for students to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.
The Position:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, you will be responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and facilitating the video coverage, live streaming, cablecasting and archiving of local school board meetings as assigned. MUST have knowledge of using a switcher, NDI cameras and IT protocols.
Typical Duties (may include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Direct liaison between BOE and PSTV regarding needs of each meeting
- Attend Board of Education prep meetings and provide outline of BOE needs for team
- Manage BOE equipment and suggest equipment updates
- Work directly with Executive Director and Vendor on any updates/scheduling of equipment firmware updates
- Direct and technical direct meeting coverage, switching between multiple NDI cameras and other video sources when appropriate
- Set-up and breakdown of video equipment and meeting room facilities as needed
- Monitor and adjust audio levels as needed
- Build and key lower third graphics throughout the meeting as appropriate
- Scheduling for video-on-demand access
- Record and live stream meeting content, monitoring recording feeds
- Adhere to strict meeting schedule as dictated by the Board of Education office
- Organize and manage testing of equipment before and day of meetings
- Other duties as assigned
