Meet the Funders grantmaker panel
Posted by La Salle Nonprofit Center on August 20, 2018
The Nonprofit Center is presenting its semi-annual “Meet the Funders” grantmaker panel on September 21st, from 8:30 to 10:30 am, at the Wilma Theater.
It’s a great project…why wasn’t it funded?
Being awarded a grant isn’t about luck. Successful grant writing starts with paying careful attention and that requires the right information about what the funder is looking for.
That’s what our “Meet the Funder” grantmaker panels are all about. Hearing directly from the funders about what they fund (and don’t fund), their guidelines and requirements, procedures and priorities. Armed with that knowledge, you can give them what they want, craft the request well, pay attention to detail, and dramatically increase your chances of success.
At our grantmaker panels, our expert facilitator asks the questions that are probably on your mind too. And after hearing from the funders, you’ll have the opportunity to ask your own questions.
Wrapping it all up is our unique funder encounter, where you have the opportunity to start the conversation as you briefly introducing yourself to one or more of the speakers you’re hoping will make a connection to your cause.
Meet the Funders:
- Aarati Kasturirangan, Bread & Roses Community Fund
- Phil Fitzgerald, The Philadelphia Foundation
- Lisa Dugan, Union Benevolent Association
- Brian Jones, WW Smith Charitable Trust
