Mayoral Candidate Forum on Afterschool & Youth Workforce Development – May 1
Posted by Fab Youth Philly on April 18, 2023
Philadelphia is in the midst of a gun violence pandemic that threatens the very safety of our children. Afterschool, out-of-school time (OST), and youth workforce development programs can serve as a means to keep our children safe during the later hours in the day, while furthering their educations, social skills and career goals.
What are the mayoral candidates doing to ensure that these programs are provided and well-funded?
The Kids Campaign is convening a forum for candidates to discuss their plans for afterschool and OST programs once their elected to office. Join us to hear each candidate’s plan directly and for the possibility to ask the candidates questions on issues impacting your children.
Date and Time: Monday, May 1, 2023, 4:00-5:00 PM (summer work resource fair), 5:00-6:30 PM (candidate forum), 6:30-7:00 PM (networking and resource fair)
Location: Friends Center, 1501 Cherry St., Philadelphia, PA 19102
