Mayor Nutter to release education plan
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will present his education policy address on September 11th. In his inaugural address, Mayor Nutter outlined two bold educational goals: to halve Philadelphia’s 45 percent dropout rate within five to seven years and to double the number of Philadelphians with four-year baccalaureate degrees over the next five to 10 years.
During his education policy address, the Mayor will present his vision for education and will outline some key strategies to achieve his goals.
The event is open to the public and will take place at 6:30pm in the auditorium of South Philadelphia High School, 2101 South Broad Street, Philadelphia. RSVP by September 5th by emailing Ami Patel at ami.d.patel@phila.gov or call 215-686-2169.
