DEADLINE NOTE
Applicants must first submit a one to two page letter of interest after May 1 and before September 1, 2004. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full applications. Full applications are due March 15, 2005.

Funding Limit: $7,000 MAXIMUM
OBJECTIVES: The sponsor has a strong preference for projects which are developing innovative and progressive ways to deal with the mental health consequences of violence and political repression. The sponsor prefers to support grassroots, community-based projects which focus on the needs and concerns of the community as well as of the individual. The sponsor is especially interested in supporting groups located in regions harmed by U.S. policies and/or addressing problems created or aggravated by those policies.

FUNDING
Grants are usually no more than US$7,000. Almost all of the projects the sponsor funds are outside the United States.
