CLS workshop explains Social Security court decision
Community Legal Services of Philadelphia is sponsoring a workshop on The Martinez Settlement: What Social Workers Should Know to Help Their Clients on Tuesday, September 14th from 3:30-5pm.
The workshop will help participants understand a recent settlement agreement entered into by the Social Security Administration which says that SSA can no longer suspend or deny benefits due to most types of bench warrants. As a result of the settlements, many recipients may also be eligible for thousands of dollars in retroactive benefits.
The event will take place at the Philadelphia Bar Association, 1101 Market St., 11th Floor. To RSVP, call Patty McGlone at 215-227-2400 ext. 2408 or email her at [email protected].
