About Marketing & Business Development at PIDC:
In order to support business growth and development throughout the city, PIDC engages directly with business owners, developers, investors and key intermediaries in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, including:
-Small businesses
-Women and minority owned businesses
-Manufacturing and industry
-Corporate and commercial development
-Non-Profits
-Technology-based businesses
Market Mangers lead this engagement, complemented by a broader PIDC Business Development team, and focus on a mix of services in their respective sectors, including:
-New Business Development: Identify and engage new clients for PIDC.
-Relationship Management: Based on market expertise, develop and manage new client relationships from initiation, into prospect development and through handoff to a product manager in real estate or financial services. Continue to engage with clients post-closing as appropriate for referrals and repeat business opportunities.
-Market Expertise: Know your individual market segment, who the actors are, what trends are emerging, where to find clients and develop market-based recommendations for new products, technical assistance and services.
About the Position:
For over 50 years, PIDC has been a champion of industry, helping to provide financing and real estate to support this important sector of Philadelphia’s economy, which employs over 100,000 people and contributes almost $50 billion of annual economic output.
The Market Manager, Manufacturing & Industry reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP), Marketing & Business Development to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy designed to reach manufacturing and industrial sector businesses that can benefit from PIDC’s financing and real estate resources to support their growth in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting business growth in Philadelphia combined with experience in business development, relationship management, business lending, and/or real estate sales and a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed goals for new lead generation and transaction activity.
