MANNA’s Nourish Awards & Health Symposium

On September 26, 2013, we will be holding our Nourish Awards & Health Symposium. The cost of this event is FREE. MANNA will honor three champions in the health care and nutrition fields – this year we are awarding the Center for Urban Health Policy & Research, Campbell’s Soup Foundation and Steveanna Wynn from SHARE Food Program. We will also have guest presenters PA State Representative Brian Sims and PA State Senator Shirley Kitchen and CBS3 Stephanie Stahl will be our emcee for the day.
Immediately following the Nourish Awards, the Health Symposium will begin. This year’s theme is Nourishment & Health Care Reform. Your Voice, Your Vote. The Nourish Health Symposium provides an integral educational and networking opportunity for anyone involved with or interested in health care in our region. The symposium has been approved for 2 CPE credits from the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Our panel will include:
· Giridhar Mallya, MD, MSHP – Director of Policy and Planning for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health
· Katherine Scheider, MD, M.Phil, FAAFP – Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Medecision
· Jenny Le, RD, LDN – Public Policy Coordinator for the Philadelphia Dietetic Association.
