A new online LGBTQ community based in Philadelphia is seeking a full-time managing editor. Applicant should have a BA in English, Communications, or Journalism and one-two years of experience working in a professional editorial setting on publications, periodicals, websites, or newspapers. The managing editor will be responsible for editing and writing original content, maintaining editorial schedule (updated daily), article assignment, supervising freelance writers, and reviewing content and requests submitted from network members. The editor will also attend community events and maintain relationships with advertisers and nonprofit partners. The right candidate will be highly organized, flexible, personable, savvy, and comfortable communicating with a broad cross-section of Philadelphia’s diverse LGBTQ communities. Freelance Reporters/Writers, Online Community
A new online LGBTQ community based in Philadelphia is seeking freelance reporters and writers to provide content for its editorial departments, including local news and features, politics and civil rights, opinion, columns, money & careers, entertainment, style, health, and sports (mostly covering local intramural teams). Reporters must be able to generate their own story ideas, as well as complete assignments as defined by editorial staff. We seek to publish content that represents all of the diverse perspectives that comprise Philadelphia’s LGBTQ communities and encourage writers of color, as well as transgender, lesbian, and queer-identified writers, to apply.
