Annual Albert Greenfield lecture looks at early childhood education
The 2011 Albert M. Greenfield Memorial Lecture at the University of Pennsylvania is entitled, Mandates, Models, and Methods, Oh My! A Strategic Look at the Essential Components of Early Childhood Education, and will take place on Wednesday, April 27th from 4-5:30pm at the Penn Annenberg Public Policy Center, 202 S. 36th Street in University City.
The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
The lecture will be convened by John Fantuzzo, Albert M. Greenfield Professor of Human Relations at Penn, and the keynote speaker is Jerlean Daniel, Executive Director of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. A response panel will include John DeFlaminis, Executive Director, Penn Center for Educational Leadership; Vivian Gadsden, William T. Carter Professor of Child Development & Education; and Paul McDermott, Professor of Education.
