Position: Manager, Technical Assistance & Quality (Full-time, Exempt)
Location: Philadelphia, PA (with travel within multi-county service region required)
AGENCY OVERVIEW AND JOB DESCRIPTION
The Mentoring Partnership & Resource Center (MPRC) was launched in March 2015 to expand the mentoring field’s regional capacity to reach more school-aged children and youth with high quality mentors using best practices, training, and professional support to achieve lifelong positive educational and behavioral outcomes for youth. The MPRC is an intermediary that provides leadership and peer support to dozens of youth mentoring organizations throughout eastern Pennsylvania. MPRC is powered by Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region and is an affiliate of MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership (MENTOR). MPRC seeks a Manager, Technical Assistance & Quality to implement several key services to mentoring programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Assistance (TA):
o In partnership with the Executive Director, manage implementation of MPRC’s Technical
Assistance service, building the capacity of mentoring programs through intentional assistance.
o Serve as liaison to the National Mentoring Resource Center and maintain the TA Contract
Management System
o Facilitate the Technical Assistance process for requests outside the National Mentoring
Resource Center
o Provide Technical Assistance on evidence-based methods to mentoring programs
o Participate in MENTOR’s activities and trainings on technical assistance and the National
Mentoring Resource Center
Quality Mentoring Systems (QMS):
o In partnership with the Executive Director, assist in the launch and implementation of the QMS
o Develop processes and procedures to support MPRC’s QMS efforts, including recruitment of
programs, data analysis, and developing partnership opportunities
o Execute QMS Evaluations
o Participate in MENTOR’s activities and trainings designed to support the QMS System
Training:
o Support the development and implementation of MPRC’s learning and development system for
mentoring programs; including developing and facilitating learning opportunities as appropriate,
as well as working with external partners and vendors.
o Travel to local agency/community sites in Southeastern Pa and Southern NJ to implement group trainings.
Other duties as assigned, including:
o Attendance at the annual National Mentoring Summit in January
o Support MPRC’s Advocacy, Data Collection, and Stakeholder engagement efforts
o Participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region’s agency-wide initiatives
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Academic: Minimum – MUST have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of Training and Technical Assistance delivery and/or administering high quality mentoring programs.
