This seven-year-old unit leads fundraising to support the broad range of programs and projects at The Pew Charitable Trusts. These range from environmental initiatives including land and ocean conservation to health policy, financial security and corrections. All of Pew’s work is focused on improving public policy, informing the public and stimulating civic life.
The Philanthropic Partnership Group (PPG) is responsible for facilitating the development and administration of new collaborations with donor partners, including individual philanthropists and foundations. The group regularly works with staff across the institution to carry out its responsibilities.
Position Overview
The Pew Charitable Trusts is building a high level development team to significantly increase external support for Pew’s diverse programs. The Manager, Program Support Services, will share a vision and commitment to Pew’s mission and culture, characterized by intellectual inquiry, rigorous analytics and transparency toward the public and our donors.
Projects undertaken at Pew are proposed by the programmatic managing directors of the Pew Environment Group, the Pew Center on the States and the Pew Health Group and approved by the Pew board of trustees. To accomplish our goals, PPG partners with a diverse range of donors, foundations and public and private organizations who share our commitment to fact-based solutions and goal-driven investments to improve society.
The Manager, Program Support Services, will lead operational support for PPG, including IT, the PeopleSoft financial system and the Salesforce constituent relationship management (CRM) system under development, gift agreements, gift and pledge processing, gift and financial reporting, donor advised fund management and budget administration. The position will partner with key counterparts in program and operations units including Legal and Finance to support donor activities. The manager for program support will ensure the smooth functioning of the activities related to Pew’s fundraising efforts and ongoing reporting and analytics needs, and will be expected to become knowledgeable about all facets of the group’s portfolio. His/her responsibilities will continue to develop in line with the group’s growth and needs and will include working closely with senior staff on special projects.
This position reports to the Deputy Director, PPG, and currently has one direct report, the program support assistant.
