WOMEN’S WAY Seeks a Manager of Special Events
The Manager plays a leadership role in planning and implementing all special events to support WOMEN’S WAY’s strategic plan, and generate the funding, visibility, and goodwill necessary to meet the organization’s fundraising, education, and advocacy goals. In close collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Development & Marketing, members of the Board and volunteers, the Manager develops and executes work plans and timelines for each special event with an eye toward increasing the fundraising, stewardship, and visibility aspects of each event. The Manager leads several volunteer committees that assist with event planning. Major events include a 250+ person fall gala, a book award ceremony and reception, a 1,400 person awards dinner and other smaller education, advocacy, cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising events. Ideal candidates have a passion for women’s rights, a bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of events or related professional experience, and a willingness to work outside traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary. Mail resume, cover letter, and references to Sarah Friedman, Director of Development & Marketing, WOMEN’S WAY, 123 S. Broad Street, Suite 1399, Philadelphia, PA 19109, e-mail: [email protected], or fax to 215.985.3369.
