Manager of Finance and Administration, Friends of the Children Philadelphia-National
Position:
The Manager of Finance and Administration is a key player in managing the internal operations of Friends of the Children, specifically in the areas of accounting, human resources, benefits, grants and contract administration. Non-profit experience required. He/she will also assist the National Executive Director with Board relations, financial projections, and critical budgetary decisions. Position about 30 hours a week.
Organization:
Friends of the Children (http://www.friendsnational.org) is a national non-profit organization, with sites in six cities. The National Office is located in Center City, Philadelphia. Friends of the Children is a long-term mentoring program, employing salaried mentors to provide a consistent caring adult to children from distressed communities. The children selected for the program will have a mentor from kindergarten through high school. Friends is an 18 year old organization, currently serving about 700 children and youth across the nation.
The Manager of Finance and Administration must understand and support the organization’s mission, and be able to weave a financial perspective into day to day operations. Respect for confidential information is essential and excellent communications skills required.
