Job description
General Description:
The Family Social Services Manager reports to the Deputy Director, and provides supervisory functions to the Foster Parent Coordinator, the Foster/Kinship Care Coordinator and the Permanency Coordinator in compliance with and as directed by contract through the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, the Philadelphia Department of Human Services, and the Community Umbrella Agency/ies to which Concilio sub-contracts. The Manager’s role is to: (1) implement policies, procedures and services to ensure program compliance with funding and agency goals and (2) train, supervise and evaluate assigned staff and (3) represent Concilio’s family social services internally and externally as appropriate. The Program Manager has access to sensitive Concilio information and is expected to handle such information with integrity and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Staff and Supervision
- Provide management to the department and staff through independent judgment and decision making.
- Provide quality supervision to all assigned staff including a minimum of bi-weekly supervisory staff meetings with individual staff members to ensure compliance with program goals.
- Identify staff development opportunities and trainings to assigned staff.
- Conduct weekly program staff meeting.
