Manager of Education Programs

Founded in 1916 as a chartered unit of the American National Red Cross, the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement. The Chapter provides relief to the men, women, and children of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. For more than nine decades, beyond disaster and blood services, the Chapter has specialized in working with children and youth to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to choose healthy lifestyles, prevent injury and danger, and grow into productive, contributing members of their communities.

The Chapter?s Community Education Department educates young people through presentations on disaster preparedness and basic safety at schools, churches, recreation centers and other venues, and through an after-school program called Red Cross Clubs, where high schools students develop knowledge and skills in life-saving trainings and serve their communities.
