LuLu G. Graves Nutrition Education Award
Posted by on January 22, 2007
The American Dietetic Association (ADA) is offering a funding opportunity for nutrition education activities. The LuLu G. Graves Nutrition Education Award is a $500 award given to support volunteer groups engaged in projects and programs of nutrition education for the public. This award is open to any group: affiliation to the Dietetic Association is encouraged but not necessary. Although not a huge amount of money, it may be good start-up money to strengthen your nutrition-related school wellness initiatives in low-income schools or outreach programs in the community. The deadline for application submission is February 1st. For more information, please follow the application link below.
Please note: even though the language in the application is focused towards material development/evaluation, I contacted ADA and applications need not be limited to materials. Evaluation of a nutrition education project is appropriate for application. Also note that this money will not be awarded for professional development uses.
