Looking for speakers: Black Women’s History at Sayre Middle School
Posted by on December 19, 2003
I am coordinating a mini Speakers Series for Black History month at Sayre (February) focusing on Black women’s history.
If you know of anyone who may want to speak for a couple Sayre classes, please let me know. Topics can include: Famous Black Women (in politics, music/the arts, sports, medicine, etc), Black women’s legacy of resistance in Slave times, Black women’s roles in the Civil Rights Movement, Black women in music (Jazz, Gospel, Hip Hop…). You get the idea. Please have any interested parties e-mail me directly (or e-mail me with names/contacts) at dprince@sas.upenn.edu.
Thanks!
