Local Education Agency (LEA) Compliance Monitor

The Center for Schools and Communities (CSC), a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidates for contract work performing compliance monitoring site visits at Pennsylvania’s Local Education Agencies (LEAs). Each contracted monitor will visit up to 30 schools during the 2017-2018 program year and will meet with the LEA’s designated homeless liaison to review protocols to meet federal expectations outlined by the McKinney-Vento Act of 1987 and the guidelines in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Applicants need a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience in: education, social work, policy, grant development, education law, or a related field.

Compensation: $300 per monitoring report which includes travel, meals, lodging, and report completion. There will also be compensation for a day of training.

This is to monitor charter schools and from Delaware, Bucks, Chester, etc. to monitor LEAs in those regions.
