Local colleges and Universities have received the 2026 Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, a national recognition of institutional commitment to community-engaged teaching, research, and partnerships.
The Carnegie Community Engagement Classification is awarded through an elective process that requires institutions to provide extensive evidence of how engagement is embedded in their mission, culture, leadership, and practices. The designation highlights institutions that prioritize mutually beneficial partnerships and recognize community engagement as a core institutional value.
