Read by our Director of Programs, Caroline Smith, this bonus episode provides unique insights into the events of Freedom Summer 1964. Freedom Summer 1964, or the Mississippi Summer Project, was a voter registration drive aimed at increasing the number of registered Black voters in Mississippi. Andrew Goodman, James Earl Chaney, and Michael Schwerner were all volunteers of Freedom Summer 1964.
