Tree House Books’ 4th Annual Life with Books Reception
Our mission at Tree House Books is to grow and sustain a community of readers, writers, and thinkers. We service this mission through our Life with Books Program which is our after school literacy program where literacy coaches partner with young people, ages 6-13, to them express their identity, voice, and power through reading. We also provide Summer Book Camps and Words on Wheels – our free book delivery program that helps area families build their home libraries.
On November 6, 2014, we will be hosting our 4th Annual Life with Books Reception — It is a fundraiser in the form of a cocktail reception. It will take place at the WHYY Studios in the Old City section of Philadelphia, and we are anticipating 300 guests. This is going to be a great event that will highlight the remarkable work that our students and their families are doing to transform community through education and creative expression.
We are looking for sponsors to help offset the cost of hosting the fundraiser and also to help support our programs. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities or if you are interested in helping with the event in other ways, please contact our Event Committee Co-Chairs — Star Bocasan Little at [email protected] and Lisa Nwankwo at [email protected].
