Let’s Read Math
WORKSHOP on Thursday NOV 6!
Introducing…
FIESTA CON PIZZA: PIZZA PARTY
and
A QUARTER FROM THE TOOTH FAIRY
Two great lessons developed for the Philadelphia OST Literacy Initiative!
POSTLI is based at the Free Library of Philadelphia, and auxiliary books are available as enhancement to the basic lesson. Fantastic for PBL.
Come to a PD session to experience two engaging lessons that work well at SCHOOL, during OST, or as FAMILY NIGHTS for parents and children together! Lessons are most appropriate for grades K-5.
The Fiesta lesson involves learning about fractions by making play-dough pizzas. The Quarter lesson is about counting money, and learning about the U.S. by starting a collection of state quarters.
You do not have to be a POSTLI site to take part in the professional development.
