Our community festival will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2004 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. Our event will take place on the east side of Wyoming Avenue between 11th Street and Broad. The rain date for our event is Saturday, September 18, 2004.
Our festival will include: food vending, games, children’s activities, health screenings, resource tables, voter registration, drill team performances, a talent show, live entertainment, a 9/11 memorial tribute, back-to-school giveaways, an anti-violence rally, line dancing, face painting, story telling, historical reenactments, & more.
The purpose of our festival is to promote neighborhood unity and to boost community pride.
If your organization would like to participate as a resource provider or vendor, please reply to me by e-mail or by phone, no later than July 31, 2004.
Also, please watch for our festival message to display atop the PECO Crown Lights Building on 9/3, 9/6, and 9/10.
