Let’s Get Ready: Virtual Success Program Expansion – Seeking Parners
Posted by Let's Get Ready on May 26, 2020
Let’s Get Ready’s (LGR) powerful program provides students with six years of support through the college admissions and enrollment process, and then along the road to college graduation. LGR provides free SAT preparation, admissions counseling, and post-enrollment mentoring to students from low-income backgrounds and who are first-generation-to-college. Our peer-driven program is administered by highly trained and highly effective college students who mentor younger students. LGR currently works with students from Maine to Philadelphia and serves over 13,000 students annually.
Thanks to a generous investment from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Let’s Get Ready is adding 1,000 students to our Virtual Success program to accelerate our impact. We will be serving students entering their first or second year of college with the goal that they have the resources and support they need to accomplish their college goals even with the new and unprecedented barriers that the COVID-19 pandemic has created.
LGR is seeking organizational partners to help us identify and reach students who could benefit from this type of support.
