Let’s Get in Formation – Shaping Our Community!
For Philadelphia Students 10 – 13
Tuesdays from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
May 9 – June 6.
Put your “leader” hat on and explore what it means to “Get In Formation” in your neighborhood. If you could change one thing in your community, what would it be? How would you make that change? Who would be on your change team?
But we won’t stop at discovery! We will write action plans that bring our hopes and dreams to life. At the end of this workshop, students will be able to:
- Identify an issue in their community that they care about
- Define and discuss what it means to ’get in formation’ around this issue
- Identify one thing they would do to create change around this issue and who they can get to help them
On the last day of the workshop, we welcome parents to come and listen to us share our Action Plans. Instructor: Estelle Acquah
