Lessons Learned from One Year of Early FAFSA
Posted by National College Access Network on June 5, 2017
Now that we are almost one year into Early FAFSA implementation, what have we learned about the advising calendar? How did your program manage the compressed time frame for advising students on FAFSA completion and the postsecondary application process? What have you learned and how will that impact next year’s timeline? In this webinar on June 7 at 3 p.m. ET, “Adjusting Your Postsecondary Advising Timeline: Lessons Learned from One Year of Early FAFSA,” you’ll hear from NCAN members about their experiences and share your own insights. The Michigan College Access Network and the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission will share how they plan to adjust their calendars for the 2018 high school graduates, and Melissa Caperton of the American College Application Campaign will discuss adjusting the advising calendar, as well as how national-level campaigns such as ACAC, NCAN’s Form Your Future, and Better Make Room can coordinate to amplify state- and local-level postsecondary access efforts.
