Workshop: Leading with Empathy – Apr 13
Posted by Youth Build Philadelphia Charter School on April 6, 2021
Empathy benefits all members of a community. It promotes trust within an organization by encouraging individuals to understand the needs of those around them. An empathetic approach can aid leaders through a range of situations, from the exchange of feedback to cultivating a strong community culture.
Join us for our Leading with Empathy workshop, where YouthBuild Philly’s Director of Student Life, Zuri Stone, will take a deep dive into how the use of restorative practices encourages leaders to tap into their empathy to create a positive and productive community.
Participants will learn:
-
Define what it means to be an empathetic leader.
-
Explore leadership & supervision through a restorative lens.
-
Examine some practical tools for restorative and empathetic leadership.
-
Exchange best practices for creating a positive community/company culture.
Date and Time: Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 3 – 4:30 p.m.
