Launching Philadelphia2050 Youth Photo Contest – Philly in a Photo – Feb 14
Posted by Philadelphia Department of Planning and Development on January 13, 2026
Calling all young folks – show off your photography skills and help shape Philadelphia’s future! The Philadelphia Department of Planning and Development is partnering with the Free Library to host the Philly in a Photo contest – open through February 14, 2026! Philadelphians between the ages of 12 and 22 can enter photographs responding to one of these questions:
- What is your favorite part of your neighborhood?
- What’s your go-to person, place, or thing in Philly?
- What part of Philly deserves more hype?
- Where do you see your vibe showing up in Philly?
- What makes you proud to represent your neighborhood?
Winners will receive prizes (gift cards! art supplies!) and have their work shown in a gallery exhibition at the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Parkway Central Library in the spring.
To enter – submit a photo HERE or at phila2050plan.org/engagement-methods
No previous photography experience needed, first time photographers encouraged!
