New Latino Association Holding Inaugural Conference
The National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB) was formed by a group of Latino professionals and the Rural Development & Finance Corporation (RDFC) to be the national catalyst that increases and builds the capacity of Latino Community Development Corporations to invest and direct capital which creates family and community assets.
On June 25-27, 2003, we will be meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for an unprecedented gathering of like-minded Latino-organizations willing to pool resources, information and learning to build the capacity of its members to better serve the growing needs of our communities in urban and rural areas of the nation. Our incredible growth rates and the current federal and state budget shortfalls demand that we act expeditiously to share solutions, and work as a united community to address the common challenges that Latino neighborhoods face.
This conference will showcase our most experienced and committed leaders and the expertise they have developed from years of crafting solutions that result in healthier neighborhoods for our familias. Potential members for NALCAB are community-based organizations with some history of creating community assets. More information is available at our website at http://www.nalcab.org. or contact Maria Gil at (210)212-4552.
