La Salle University’s Summer 2018 Program Theme:
Power Up: Health is Your Wealth
La Salle University is hosting an exciting summer program for students that will explore several disciplines, including mathematics and science (Prek-5) and integrated content areas (6-8). Students engage in active, hands-on learning connected to real-life roles (scientist, geographer, world traveler, etc.). The major goal of our program is to have all students learn by building upon previous experiences at home and school under the guidance of our teachers and staff.
Our Enrichment Program
La Salle offers the opportunity for any student between the ages of 4 and 14, as of June 1, 2018 to enroll in our Prek – Grade 9 summer Enrichment program, regardless of ability level. In our fully inclusive classrooms, teachers are prepared to differentiate instruction to maximize each child’s learning and success. All programs motivate students to want to learn through hands-on, indoor and outdoor activities using evidence-based practices. Students take on roles as scientists, explorers, curators and the like to investigate the theme of the program based on appropriate district curriculum standards and content area specialties of the upper grades teachers. Eligible age groups for this program include students ages 4 to 14 (children under four years of age, or older than fourteen as of June 1, 2018 may not enroll in this program). There was a wait list last summer so do not delay! Enrollment is limited to 120 students.
Location: The LaSalle summer program will be held at the Hatboro/Horsham High School – H-Wing. The school
address is 899 Horsham Road Horsham, PA 19044. In order to access the H-Wing, families should drive around to the back of the school to the H-Wing entrance.
The program runs from Monday, July 2nd to Friday, July 20th. The program starts at 9:15 am and ends at 1:15 pm. Students may not be dropped off earlier than 9:10 am. WE WILL NOT HAVE CAMP WEDNESDAY, JULY 4TH
DUE TO THE HOLIDAY. The registration deadline is Friday, June 1st. Note: WE WILL BE OFFERING AN
$250 for the first child, $200 for the second child, and $150 each for any other child residing in the same home, from the same family after the first two children in the family for the entire three-week session. Due to the fact that this is a LOW tuition rate, the fee remains the same even if students may miss part of the summer program.
The after-care program runs from 1:15 pm – 3:00 pm each day (EXCEPT 7/2 and 7/20). The fee for the aftercare program is $150.00 per child, covering the three weeks except for the first and last days. This program is limited to the first 80 children who sign up, so don’t delay! Please note that there are no discounts or refunds for students who cannot attend aftercare each available day it is offered due to the exceptionally low rate for this program.
