Koreans and Asian Indians in Montgomery County

Montco forum on Asian population scheduled
On Thursday, November 13th, the Human Services Center in Norristown will host How Can We Respond to the Needs of Koreans and Asian Indians in Montgomery County?, a presentation and panel discussion to commemorate National Family Week. The forum is co-sponsored by Family Services of Montgomery County, Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services, North Penn Community Health Foundation, North Penn United Way and North Penn Jaisohn Center.
The event will focus on the findings of a report by Larry Fiebert Associate Executive Director, Family Services of Montgomery County entitled Koreans and Asian Indians in the North Penn Area: A Needs Assessment Report. The report examines what providers and funders of social and health services should understand about Korean and Asian Indian populations in Montgomery County in order to respond more effectively to their social service needs. It includes a list of 14 problems and unmet needs as well as 60 recommendations aimed at improving service accessibility and delivery to these populations.
