Ketchup With Us: A Look at the Philadelphia School Lunch Program
Posted by Repair the World on February 15, 2016
“Ketchup” with Repair the World about what the majority of students in Philadelphia are eating at school. The event will feature guest speakers Deborah Bentzel of The Food Trust, who will be giving an overview of the National School Lunch Program, and Dale Mezzacappa of The Philadelphia Public School Notebook, who will be talking about the Notebook’s latest edition about school meals: “Focus on Youth, Schools and Food”.
This is part one of a two-part series about nutrition and meals in Philadelphia schools. Join us at the same time one week later on February 24th for “A is for Apple: Nutrition in Philadelphia Schools”. We encourage anyone attending part one to attend part two for a broader understanding of school meals. We understand that this is not possible for everyone, and want to acknoweldge that both events can be enjoyed separately as well.
